Conversations and Gatherings

Isolation noun; the process or fact of isolating or being isolated.

Connection noun; a relationship in which a person or thing is linked or associated with someone or something else.

Solitude is a state of seclusion or isolation, i.e. a lack of contact with people. It may stem from unresolved relationships, loss of loved ones, deliberate choice, physical or  mental health concerns or circumstances of employment or school. And so many other reasons.

Social isolation is on the increase and addiction can often become part of the isolation and vice versa.

The opposite of addiction however is connection. Through connecting with like- minded others, you may discover you are better able to live with:

  • less anxiety
  • greater productivity
  • increased sense of self
  • more joy
  • autonomy rather than isolation
  • presence and mindfulness
  • passion
  • focus
